The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with MyGov is looking for a logo and tagline that captures the essence of NCSSR and resonates with its Sports Ecosystem.
The scheme of National Centre of Sports Sciences and Research (NCSSR) aims to support high level research, education and innovation with respect to high performance of elite athletes. The scheme has two components: One is setting up of NCSSR and other is focused on creation of support to Sports Sciences Departments in Six Universities and Sports Medicine Departments in Six Medical Colleges/Institutes/Hospitals. NCSSR is operating its sports science research with various Sports Science departments i.e. Anthropometry, Biomechanics, Physiology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Nutrition, Medicine, and Strength and Conditioning for improvement of Sports Performance (Indian Athletes). The ideal formation should be:
- Unique and Memorable: Easily recognizable and stands out in the Organization.
- Versatile: Suitable for various mediums, from digital to print, and adaptable to different sizes.
- Relevant: Reflective of the organization’s values, culture, and mission.
- Timeless: A design that will remain effective and relevant as the organization evolves.
- Inclusivity: The logo and tagline should be inclusive of science and tradition of Indian culture.

Eligibility Criteria
- The contest is open to all Indian citizens.
Technical Parameters
- The logo must be submitted in JPG, JPEG or PNG format.
- The logo must be designed on a digital platform that can be easily replicated on websites, social media posts, printed banners and so on.
- The winning participant must submit an open and editable logo file.
- The logo must be an original design work. Any proof of plagiarism, imitation, replication, etc shall lead to disqualification.
- The logo should be designed in a colored format. The size of the logo may vary from 5 cm5 cm to 30cm30cm in either portrait or landscape mode.
- The logo and tagline should be usable on the website, social media platforms, and pintables such as stationary, signboards, magazines, commercials, holdings, standees, brochures, leaflets, pamphlets, souvenirs, and other publicity and marketing material for the promotion.
- The logo image should be in high resolution with a minimum of 600 DPI.
- The logo should look clean (not pixilated or bit-mapped) when viewed on-screen at 100%.
- Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self-extracting formats.
- The logo design should not be imprinted or watermarked.
Application Requirements
- The logos designed to represent NCSSR’s Mission & Vision must adhere to the technical parameters and other requirements.
- Participants agree to grant an exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license regarding all rights, titles, and interests, including but not limited to intellectual property in their submissions to the organizers.
- The organizers shall have all rights to publish, use, adapt, edit, and/or modify such submissions, including, without limitation, selected portions thereof, in any way, in any and all media, without limitation, worldwide and in perpetuity, for purposes including, but not limited to, advertising, promotion, review, or any other purpose whatsoever.
- Participants undertake not to file applications or claim rights, title, or ownership in their submissions and shall provide all assistance to the organizers to obtain registration of intellectual property in respect of the same, in the name of the organizers, as may be required in any jurisdiction.
- Submissions must include a brief description (i.e., an explanation of the logo, symbol, colors, etc., up to 100 words) along with the image of the logo.
- The logo must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright will be disqualified from the competition.
- All rights, titles, and interests, including, without limitation, intellectual property rights in the submissions, must be owned solely by the participants.
- Participants should ensure that their MyGov profile is accurate and updated, as the department will use this information for further communication. This includes details such as name, complete postal address, email ID, and phone number.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the organizers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time. This includes the right to amend these terms and conditions.
- Submissions shall not comprise any illegal, objectionable, or inappropriate content.
- At any stage of evaluation, if an entry is found to violate the guidelines, it will be removed from the evaluation process without notification.
- The decision of the committee will be final and binding for all entries. No requests for re-evaluation of the entries will be considered.
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Indian Judiciary.
- It is clarified that no registration or submission fees are payable concerning the entries for the competition.
