In today’s digital world, technology has the potential to revolutionize healthcare but also presents significant challenges. This course addresses the urgent need for professionals who understand the intersection of health, law, technology, and social justice, empowering them to navigate the complexities of digital health systems effectively.
This short course on Advocacy for Digital Health Justice Offers participants the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in advocacy concerning digital health justice and equity in an era defined by rapid technological advancements, as well as benefits and challenges for individual and community health and wellbeing to promote advocacy. Participants will be introduced to advantages, challenges and disparities in digital health contexts including the access and utilization of digital health technologies and services across African countries, and will further introduce and assess regulatory policies and frameworks governing digital health. The two- week course will explore the innovative dimensions at digital health combining theoretical foundations with practical woks. Strategically, this course will empower participants to become agents of change in understanding and advocating for equitable access to dorm health resources and technologies, thereby improving inclusion and participation in digital health ecosystems in African countries.

- To capacitate digital health stakeholders to embrace a holistic approach to legal compliance, respect to human rights and promotion of social justice.
