The Australian Frailty Network is seeking applications for its Frailty-ADD CRE Seed Grants for Advancing multidisciplinary frailty research.
The purpose of the Frailty-ADD CRE Seed Grant Scheme is to build the capacity of early career researchers academics, health practitioners, and allied health professionals to develop research programs that aim to improve outcomes for frail patients in hospital settings.
Funding Information
- Two grants of up to AUD$10,000 each, for a maximum 24 months in duration:
- 1 x grant will be awarded to project focusing on nursing, pharmacy or allied health
- 1 x grant will be awarded to a project focusing on medicine or surgery
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be employed by an Australian entity (e.g., university, hospital, research institute etc).
- Applicants must be an:
- Early career researcher
- Health or allied health practitioner registered with a relevant board society
Selection Criteria
- Applicants will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Significant and impact of the research: Applicants should explain the importance of their research, i.e., how their study will contribute to improved outcomes for frail patients in the hospital setting.
- Methodological rigor: Applicants should provide details of their proposed methods that demonstrates high-quality research in terms of recruitment, data-collection, analysis, and interpretation. Proposed research should adhere to national ethical guidelines.
- Feasibility of the research: Applicants should demonstrate feasibility of their proposed research in terms of requested budget; access to recruitment sites, participants, and or data; scale of the research; timeline; access to equipment or software; and relevant skills. Applicants should also outline the supervision and mentorship they will receive throughout the proposed study.
