The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is inviting Individual artists, groups organisations working with all art forms to enter the Arts Grant program for Event, Project & Collaboration.
Arts Grants (Event, Project and Collaboration) are for the purpose of providing financial assistance to individual artists, groups and organisations engaged in arts projects events at local or county level.
Funding Information
- Arts Grants fund the following:
- Event Project:
- The production of an event, festival or long-term project by an individual artist, arts group or arts organisation that will allow the public an opportunity to engage with or experience the arts.
- The applicant s must clearly define how this event project will support public engagement with the arts in dlr and what the outcomes of the event project will be.
- Maximum funding available: €5,000
- Collaboration:
- Projects that have a collaborative approach between the artist and the participants. Examples of potential successful applications may include, but are not limited to, arts initiatives in formal and informal education settings, healthcare and community settings.
- The applicants must clearly define how this collaborative participatory project will develop the artistic skill of the participants and or artists involved.
- Maximum funding available: €5,000
- Event Project:
Ineligible Funding
- Grants will not cover building programmes, third party grants, or assistance to cover loans or deficits, projects which could be undertaken on a commercial basis, charity fundraising events, the hire fee of Council premises, international travel or third level education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants may only submit one arts grant application. You cannot apply to more than one strand.
- Applications must be for events or projects taking place within Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
- Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Arts Office seeks to support financially sustainable artistic ventures.
- In regards to applications from organisations, only not for profit organisations will be considered.
Terms and Conditions
- Applications must refer to activities taking place in the County which have a benefit to the wider
- community.
- The applicant must have a dedicated bank account.
- Grants will not cover third party grants or assistance to cover loans or deficits, charity fundraising events or the hire fee of Council premises.
- Applicants must have no outstanding debt owing to the Council or any Council Controlled Organisations.
- Applicants must fully declare any additional council, government or council controlled organisation funding or grant.
- Applicants seeking funding over €10,000 must submit a valid Tax Clearance Certificate with their application.
- Applicants must comply with all Council regulatory and statutory requirements relating to the preparation and delivery of any events, including obtaining all necessary permits and consents, if required.
Application Requirements
- The application should demonstrate the benefit to a potential audience or group you plan to work with and/or the impact on your development as an artist.
- Applications should also demonstrate the artistic merit and quality of previous work, the artistic merit and quality of their proposal and their ability to achieve outlined objectives within timeframe and budget.
- Projects will be prioritized based on need as funding is limited.
