The Classical:Next is pleased to invite proposals for its Club Showcase programme to sought musicians in crafting club-compatible soundscapes of the classically-inclined.
Classical:Next was born out of the simple idea to bring the diverse scenes of classical music together and offer them a forum to exchange and develop new ideas around classical – or in a wider sense – art music. Since then, around 6,000 art music professionals representing 3,000 companies from 65 countries have engaged with the organization.
A showcase is the ideal vehicle with which to grab their attention, not only via the showcase concert itself, but also through Classical:NEXT publicity and various communication channels that include the website, event app, press release and newsletters to the community, social media and the online database Classical:Next online.
Eligibility Criteria
- International soloists, small ensembles and DJs are sought experts of excellence in crafting club-compatible soundscapes of the classically-inclined.
- The final selection for the programme will be made by their international jury.
Requirements
- The following completed application form including:
- all relevant weblinks including links to online live private/public video footage (does not have to be broadcasting quality)
- Instrumentation: name and instrument of the people who would perform in case selected
- an exact listing of the proposed programme including work/composer/length
- a concise biography (maximum 500 words)
- a list of upcoming shows plus any special past performances
- a link to a video of your work – short, well-made “intro/demo” trailers are best. Badly filmed live videos are to be avoided.
- up to 3 audio examples in mp3 format of the artist performing the proposed programme;
- a full technical rider;
- a clear stage plan;
- 2 High-resolution photos (300 dpi is ideal) with credit/copyright info;
- 3 selected press reviews (if available).
