The WWF-Canada is inviting applications for its Go Wild Grants from students, faculty, staff and educators to share their best ideas that will help nature thrive.
From coast to coast to coast, Canada is bursting with natural riches, diverse species and varied ecosystems that sustain us and provide benefits essential for a healthy life. To show appreciation, let’s take care of nature so it can continue taking care of us.
Funding Information
- Primary Schools: Grants of $1,500 per institution are available to support practical, hands-on projects that will be completed during the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Secondary Schools: Grants of $1,500 per institution are available to support practical, hands-on projects that will be completed during the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Colleges, Universities & CEGEPs: Grants of $2,000 per institution are available to support practical, hands-on projects that can be completed on campus between February and October 2025.
Eligible Cost
- Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Colleges, Universities & CEGEPs:
- Materials and services associated with the proposed activities are appropriate expenses – This could include (but is not limited to): plants, soil, equipment, and field costs needed to complete the project; honoraria for Indigenous elders and knowledge keepers; communication materials and promotional costs; costs associated with documenting the project; permits; facility or vehicle rental fees, if necessary.
Eligibility Criteria
- Primary Schools and Secondary Schools:
- Schools, classrooms, student groups in Canada.
- Grades K – 12 (elementary, middle and secondary schools).
- Please note, applications must be completed by an educator or school employee. Students can connect with their teacher and apply together.
- Colleges, Universities & CEGEPs:
- Individual students of majority age.
- Ratified student clubs.
- Student associations.
- Faculty, staff and campus offices.
