Submissions are now open for the Henki Art Prize to create an accessible platform, recognize artists, and promote the development of art by exploring the relationship between artists and the element of water in their artwork.
Theme
- Liquid Time: Capturing the Present
- In a rapidly changing world, how do they record the present? How do they encapsulate the fleeting moments that define their current existence? As the inaugural event of the Henki Art Prize, they invite artists this year to explore the concept of time through the lens of water. Through their artwork, participants are encouraged to reflect on how they can preserve the immediacy of now, creating a visual dialogue that speaks to the ephemeral yet profound nature of their current experiences.
Award Information
- The winner will receive $500 USD.
- Each of the other shortlisted artists will receive $125 USD.
- The opportunities to be featured in Henki Art’s 3D online group exhibition.
- The opportunities to be featured on Henki Art’s gallery webpage and social media.
Jurors and Judges
- The jury consists of a group of professionals, including but not limited to active artists, curators, and gallery directors. Each juror reviews submissions and returns scores to the staff, who summarize the scores and provide the list to the judges for final determination. Then, five artists are shortlisted as finalists, including the winner.
Eligibility Criteria
- Submitted artwork must be related to the theme ‘Liquid Time: Capturing the Present.’
- Submitted artwork must be related to the element of water, which includes but is not limited to the ocean, ice, steam, all forms of water, and any liquids formed by water, such as drinks, tears, and blood.
- All forms of two-dimensional artwork are accepted, with no size restrictions.
- Artists from all over the world are welcome to enter.
- All entries must be original and solely created by the artist. A maximum of one original work created within the past five years may be submitted.
