The Universities Australia is now accepting entries for the 2024 Shaping Australia Awards from university teams and individuals driving impactful solutions to the country’s biggest challenges and making a difference to the lives of all Australians.
The Shaping Australia Awards recognize outstanding initiatives in teaching, research and community service that contribute to shaping Australia’s future.
Award Categories
- The Problem Solver Award, this prestigious award recognizes groundbreaking research work that has already transformed, or holds the potential to transform, the lives of Australians for the better.
- The Future Builder Award, this award celebrates an individual or a team who has gone above and beyond to equip their students with the knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in the world.
- The Community Champion, this award honors an individual, team or university with deep ties to its community and the people who call it home, beyond just those who attend the institution.
Award Information
- Each winner will receive $2,500 in prize money.
- There are six winners in total, with two winners per category chosen by the public and the judges.
Entry Requirements
- A written entry:
- Including an attention-grabbing title (max. 100 characters).
- A short description of the project/initiative (150 words).
- Detailed project summary (max. 1000 words).
- Written testimonials:
- Written testimonials from individuals or groups who have benefited from the initiative/project (up to three, max. 300 words each in Word format).
- Written endorsement Vice-Chancellor written endorsement (max. 150 words).
- Two-minute video:
- Two-minute video demonstrating the real-world impact of your project/initiative (16:9, MP4, max. 100MB).
- High-resolution images:
- Up to five high resolution images (16:9 ratios in landscape and portrait, 300dpi and JPG or PNG).
