The European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina is pleased to announce the ‘State of Peace’ Youth Academy with an overarching goal of actively engaging Western Balkans youth in the process of reconciliation.
The ‘State of Peace’ Youth Academy will bring together 50 young people from across the Western Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia) to Vitez, BiH to engage in a set of activities, field visits, concerts, film screenings, and workshops.
The conference follows last years ‘State of Peace’ Youth Academy and is focused on building understanding, tolerance and connections between local and regional youth and learning how to cherish and celebrate the cultural, social, and religious differences in the Balkan region and wider Europe. Official working languages are Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian/Montenegrin.
Costs Covered
- All participation costs (travel, accommodation, meals, and materials) are covered by the organizers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen or resident of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, or Montenegro.
- Between 18 – 30 years of age.
- Desire to learn more about the Western Balkan’s peacebuilding process.
- No previous experience is required; we welcome applications from youth of all. different backgrounds and stages of life.
