Apply for Focus Jazz Brussels Programme (Luxembourg)

In parallel with this highlight, Jazz Station and Kultur | lx will organize a professional meeting for programmers from Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and France to explore the theme of cross-border cooperation and exchanges in the Benelux and beyond. The challenge is to develop concrete ideas on how to improve the circulation of artists in this geographical area.

Finally, to encourage artistic exchanges between Belgium and Luxembourg, Jazz Station and Kultur | lx are currently working on setting up a residency programme that will bring together Belgian and Luxembourg musicians. The result of this collaboration will be shown during Focus Jazz.

Kultur | lx is opening a call for applications for:

• 1 concert by a Luxembourgish artist/group established on December 5, 2024.
• Duration of the set: 45 minutes
• 1 concert by a Luxembourgish artist/group established on December 6, 2024.
• Duration of the set: 45 minutes

Costs Covered

• The host venues will cover the artistic fees and production costs of the concerts.
• Kultur | lx will cover the following costs:
  • Group/Artist Accommodation Costs – Kultur | lx will arrange accommodation;
  • Group/artist transportation costs – Train travel will be preferred. Reimbursement of 2nd class fares only. Air travel will only be reimbursed in exceptional and justified cases.
  • Car travel will be covered – at a rate of €0.30 / kilometer and any toll charges;
  • Group/artist per diem – €30/person/day.

Eligibility Criteria

• Artists and groups working in the field of jazz and improvised music of Luxembourg nationality or residing in Luxembourg.
• Strength: from duo to quintet;
• Act in the field of jazz and improvised music;
• Have considerable links with Luxembourg musical life;
• Have news to present between 2023 and 2025 (album, project for example);
• Have live experience abroad;
• Wanting to promote your project on Belgian territory;
• Benefit from a professional entourage (label, booking agency, manager, etc.);
• Be available on December 5 or 6, 2024.
