The Novo Nordisk Foundation is seeking applications a project support for science education and informal learning environments to promote general science education and strengthen interest, knowledge and skills in science and technology among children, young people and the population in Denmark in general.
Project Content
- Support can be applied for projects within STEM teaching, science didactic research and experiences with natural science and technology in leisure time. This also applies to support for projects with a focus on sustainability, climate, energy production, green transition or health within the subjects craft and design as well as food knowledge
- Education projects can be aimed at day care, primary schools, upper secondary education as well as teacher education and pedagogue education. It is also possible to include student teachers and pedagogues in projects, if these are aimed at practical cooperation with day care and/or primary schools.
Funding Information
- There is a total of up to DKK 50 million. for distribution in the autumn of 2024 for project grants of DKK 100,000-6,000,000 of up to 6 years’ duration.
- The project can be an independent, limited project or part of a larger project which is also supported by other partners.
- Applicants can apply for funds for salaries, operating costs in connection with equipment, travel and publications, conference participation, collaboration activities, project allowances (Danish universities) and administrative costs (where relevant), which will be specified in the application instructions.
Eligibility Criteria
- During the grant period, the applicant must be a manager or project manager at the project’s managing institution. The project’s administering institution must be a public institution and/or non-profit organisation, including educational institutions, municipalities, research institutions, museums or associations in the Danish Commonwealth.
- Private companies and producers can apply for support for non-commercial projects with a non-profit purpose. In that case, the company itself is the managing institution.
